Blanco Niño Slightly Salted Non-GMO Corn Tortillas - 170g

Sale price£2.95

Description

Lightly Salted was Blanco Nino's very first flavour of tortilla chip, which might be simple but it still packs a crunch! Perfect on its own or paired with our deliciously creamy guacamole.

The salt  is sourced from Celestún, in the Yucatan where you’ll find ancient Mayan salt-flats. Blanco Nino have partnered with a social enterprise whose mission is to promote traditional and sustainable salt harvesting practices.

Made the Aztec way
Blanco Nino select the very best whole non-GMO corn, which is cooked then steeped overnight, before grinding into a dough called masa using hand-carved, Mexican volcanic stones. An ancient process called Nixtamalisation. While still hot, this masa is shaped and baked into tortillas. We then leave the tortillas to rest overnight, before cutting and lightly frying them to become the most delicious, authentic tortilla chips.
It takes three days from start to finish, but we think it's worth the wait!
